You can now use YouTube Music inside Google Maps in navigation mode

- YouTube Music can now be chosen as a default media app within the Google Maps Android app.

In October 2018, Google made Spotify, Play Music, and Apple Music available within Google Maps, enabling users to control their music right from Google Maps navigation. After nearly two years, Google has finally added YouTube Music support to the Maps app for Android.
To set YouTube Music as your default music player, you will need to head over to Settings and tap on Navigation settings. Next, tap on 'Default Media app' and select YouTube Music. Once you choose YouTube Music as your default media app, you will see a floating button with the YouTube Music logo when you start navigation in Maps. You will be able to access your playback controls on the bottom of the screen by tapping on the YouTube Music button.
In addition to music controls, you can also access your playlists with the help of the browse button. Weirdly, however, the YouTube Music icon doesn't show up when using Google Maps in landscape orientation.
YouTube Music integration is available in the latest 10.43.2 version of the Google Maps app for Android, which began rolling out earlier this week. In addition to Google Maps v10.43.2, you will also need to have the latest version of the YouTube Music app installed on your phone.
